Free users can search up to 3 products per month. Each search shows the RepairScore and a repair-or-replace recommendation. For unlimited searches, upgrade to Pro at €3.99/month or buy a credit pack from €2.99.

What types of products does RepairScore cover?

RepairScore covers 279+ EU products across 10 categories: smartphones, laptops, tablets, washing machines, dishwashers, refrigerators, vacuum cleaners, televisions, ovens, and cameras. We add new products regularly ahead of the EU Right to Repair Directive in July 2026.

What does the RepairScore number mean?

RepairScore is a 0–100 rating that combines five factors: EU EPREL energy label data (30%), iFixit teardown repairability (25%), spare parts availability (20%), community repair activity (15%), and product age (10%). A score above 60 means the product is generally worth repairing. Below 40, consider replacing.

Does searching a product use one of my free scans?

Accepted Answer

Yes, each product search that returns a detailed RepairScore report counts as one scan. Basic score checks on product pages are free and unlimited. Your 3 monthly free scans reset at the start of each calendar month.

Can I compare multiple products side by side?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After searching, use the Compare button to add up to 4 products to the RepairScore comparison view. The compare tool is available at /compare and lets you evaluate repairability scores, scores per factor, and repair cost estimates side by side.
