The short version
- We collect your email, search history, and basic usage data to run the service.
- We never sell your data. We don't use it for profiling or ads.
- You can delete your account and all your data at any time.
- We're based in Portugal (EU) and fully GDPR-compliant.
1.Data We Collect
We collect only what we need to run RepairScore:
- Account data: your name and email address when you register.
- Usage data: search queries (product names and model numbers), pages visited, and timestamps.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and operating system, collected automatically via server logs.
- Communications: messages you send us by email or contact form.
💳 We do not store payment card details. Payments are processed by Stripe under their own privacy policy.
2.How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Provide the RepairScore service, including search results, scores, and recommendations.
- Manage your account and authenticate your identity.
- Enforce the free tier search quota.
- Send transactional emails (account activation, sign-in links).
- Analyse anonymised usage patterns to improve the product.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising or automated profiling.
3.Data Retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we erase your personal data within 30 days, except where law requires longer retention (e.g. tax records).
Anonymised, aggregated analytics (which cannot be linked back to you) may be retained indefinitely.
4.Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EU or EEA, you have the following rights:
Access
Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
Rectification
Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Erasure
Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
Restriction
Ask us to limit how we process your data.
Portability
Receive your data in a machine-readable format.
Object
Object to processing based on legitimate interests.

6.Data Transfers
RepairScore is operated from Portugal (EU). If we use third-party processors outside the EU/EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (Standard Contractual Clauses) as required by GDPR Article 46.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance.
